Model Amber Marie Interview

Photographer Chuck Majors

FETFAN: How did you get started with modeling and how long have you been in the industry?

Amber Marie: Modeling has always been something I've kept in the back of my mind. I've always loved photography and being in front of the camera. After a series of events that happened, I decided to pursue modeling. I've only been in this industry for under a year at this point .

FETFAN: Your work definitely stands out, how did you decide or how did you discover this side of you as a model?

Amber Marie: My first shoot is what really helped me realize who I was as a model. That shoot went so perfectly, the photographer and I worked amazingly together. It helped set the pace for my modeling career.

Photographer Devin Castle Designs

FETFAN: What is your favorite category to model and why?

Amber Marie: Don't get me wrong I love lingerie, what girl doesn't? But I really love modeling more edgy, or alternative.
I like creating something that's more than just a pretty picture. I want to make someone stop and feel something.

Photographer Roger Williams

FETFAN: Do you have an hidden talents?

Amber Marie: I have a weird talent for memorizing rap lyrics and being able to belt it out in the car flawlessly.

FETFAN: Do you ever get shy in front of the camera?

Amber Marie: I'm actually a naturally shy person anyway. So I definitely still get shy sometimes, but that's only if I haven't found a way of connecting with the photographer yet. Which is so important!

FETFAN: FETFAN Magazine is an alternative fine art nude magazine, but at the same time allowing artists to express themselves through their art. Fetishes are one of these forms. Do you have any fetishes that you have modeled or personally find interesting?

Amber Marie: I have yet to model anything in that category. I've always thought bondage was interesting, the whole latex scene is very curious too.

Photographer Joe Rotruck

FETFAN: Nudes, fine art nudes, how do you feel about the concept and how do you prepare for this type of shoot?

Amber Marie: I have just recently done a shoot that would be considered a fine art nude. I think if they are done correctly then they are beautiful works of art! It's very important to be comfortable in your own skin if you do this type of shoot.

Photographer Ryan Ochsner

FETFAN: Throughout your modeling I'm sure you have been to many different places, which have been your favorite and what kind of project were you working on?

Amber Marie: I'm still very new to the industry, so I haven't been able to travel to a lot of places yet. I definitely enjoyed going to Denver, Colorado and working the Don Hales Photography Workshop. Plus I got to go to Voodoo Donuts while we were there so that was awesome!

FETFAN: Is there anyone who has inspired your work?

Amber Marie: Sarah Fabel and Alysha Nett have always been two sources of inspiration for me as a tattooed/alternative model.

Photographer Evan Kane

FETFAN: When at a photoshoot, what do you love most about the experience and what do you find challenging as a model?

Amber Marie: I love when you find your groove and you just start knocking out pose after pose.
But it can be challenging to get into that momentum sometimes. As a model we have to think about 15 different things all at once, and still be aware of how our bodies and facial expressions look.

FETFAN: How would you best describe yourself using just 3 words?

Amber Marie: Optimistic, Driven, Sweet

Photographer Spencer Newman

FETFAN: Five things you can't live without?

Amber Marie:
My Spotify
My favorite pillow
My dog Sophie
My support system

FETFAN: Favorite movie?

Amber Marie: The whole Harry Potter series

Photographer Don Hales

FETFAN: If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Amber Marie: Sushi, all the sushi.

FETFAN: What do you think your strongest feature is in modeling?

Amber Marie: I think my ability to emote has been my strongest feature for me thus far.

FETFAN: At the end of the day when all is done what are you most proud of?

Amber Marie: I'm just proud of actually pursuing a dream, there are lots of people who wish they could do the things they dream of, but not many follow through.
